Introducing Zoe Ross and Mind Moose

NAME
Zoe Ross

WHAT IS YOUR COMPANY / PROJECT?
Mind Moose - a digital learning platform to teach children how to keep their minds healthy.

WHY WAS IT SET UP?
During my MSc in Psychology I became very interested in positive psychology, character education and fostering well-being. At the same time I saw in my personal and professional life as a teacher, the far-reaching impact that mental health problems can have on all sections of society.

The statistics suggest that on average 3 children in every classroom have a mental health problem and 75% of adult mental health problems start by he age of 18. Yet many of these could be prevented by early intervention, simple strategies and having someone to talk to.

So, Mind Moose was born. Mind Moose and his friends take children on a fun, interactive journey to learn about their brains, how to have a healthy mind and thrive.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST THING YOU HAVE LEARNT ALONG THE WAY?
Following the lean startup model has been great. Getting very early feedback from my target customers has been invaluable and helped me to make some key decisions.

WHERE DO YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR COMPANY / PROJECT NEXT?
My goal is to get at least 1 million children to learn about having a healthy mind through the project. I'm working hard on getting the platform ready for launch in September!

HOW CAN PEOPLE GET INVOLVED?
