Organised by JP Flintoff and Nasos Papadopoulos
Brexit got you down? Trump and Farage make you anxious? Do you wish 2016 was over already?
Well, it's not over. And thank goodness - because we can use the time remaining to turn things to our advantage, and make the world a better place, by changing the way we think about situations we don't like.
Who is this for?
This session is for anybody who feels shaken by the events of 2016. It's for people worried that the bad guys are taking over, or that the UK isn't welcoming any more. If you're looking for a way to feel better about any of this, it's for you.
What is it?
A lively, sometimes funny session including coaching and performance, in which participants will see what they can do, in even they most unpromising situations, to take back control.
The two-hour session will be highly interactive, with opportunities for everybody who comes to reflect on their own thinking - on paper, in conversation with somebody else, and even with the group as a whole. Interaction is entirely voluntary and nobody has to do anything.
The session is built around ideas drawn from my training as a coach, a journalist, and a theatrical performer (more about that here). I'll be inviting you to notice your own thinking, and find ways to change it - with potentially world-changing effect.
This is the group's first Meetup, so this feedback is drawn from similar events and conversations elsewhere:
"Wonderful learning and life-changing outcomes. 100% brilliant and often entertaining too. Thank you!" - Chrissy
"Helped me to find the strength to have important conversations, and make change happen in my life. It was also a lot of fun!" - Beatriz
